TOEFL is a flagship language test developed by ETS for non-native English speakers intending to pursue higher education in English-speaking countries. Its focus is academic English, matching the language demands of university classroom study, seminars, paper writing and campus communication. The most widely accepted version is TOEFL iBT; eligible candidates may also take the TOEFL iBT Home Edition with real-time remote proctoring.

TOEFL iBT contains four integrated modules: Reading, Listening, Speaking and Writing. The total score is 120, with 30 points allocated to each section. Many speaking and writing tasks require candidates to absorb information from reading passages and listening audio before organizing a response, recreating the experience of reading academic articles, following lectures, discussing ideas and writing evidence-based essays.

Reading passages cover subjects such as arts, biology, history, astronomy and sociology. Listening materials include lectures and campus conversations; speaking tasks assess personal expression and academic summaries under time limits; writing tasks require logical argumentation, clear evidence and coherent structure.

TOEFL is widely recognized by universities and colleges in the United States and Canada and is accepted by higher education institutions across Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It is also used for professional certification, scholarships and academic exchange, making it a leading choice for students seeking further education in North America.

TOEIC is a standardized English proficiency test designed and administered by ETS. Unlike academic English examinations, it assesses practical English used in professional and international business settings and measures how accurately and appropriately candidates communicate in everyday cross-border workplace situations.

The standard paper-based test has two mandatory sections, Listening and Reading, with a combined full score of 990. Listening covers photographs, short conversations, workplace discussions, announcements and speeches. Reading includes sentence completion and practical materials such as emails, memos, invoices, reports, manuals, notices and business news. TOEIC Speaking & Writing is available as an optional supplementary assessment.

Thousands of multinational enterprises, foreign trade companies, financial institutions, manufacturing groups and international service organizations use TOEIC scores for recruitment, promotion, overseas assignments and training evaluation. It is especially relevant to people pursuing careers in foreign trade, cross-border logistics, international finance and corporate administration.

TOEIC has no strict age or academic background restrictions. Its practical content, stable difficulty and flexible arrangements make it a cost-effective credential for students, employees and working professionals at every career stage.

Linguaskill is an online adaptive English assessment developed by Cambridge Assessment English. The system adjusts the difficulty of later questions in response to a candidate’s real-time performance, shortening the test while maintaining evaluation accuracy.

The exam has three independent modules: Reading & Listening, Speaking and Writing. Candidates may take all three or select individual modules. Reading & Listening takes about 45–60 minutes, Speaking about 15 minutes and Writing about 45 minutes. Detailed reports with CEFR levels are issued within 48 hours, covering proficiency from A1 beginner to C2 mastery.

Linguaskill is used by employers for recruitment and staff assessment, by schools and universities for placement, and by training institutions to measure learning progress. It is delivered online with a computer, stable internet connection and headset, without requiring a fixed examination venue. Frequent sessions make it suitable for organizations and candidates who need fast, flexible language certification.

IELTS is co-developed and administered by the British Council, IDP Education and Cambridge Assessment English. It is a widely recognized test for overseas study and immigration, offered as Academic for higher education applicants and General Training for work visas, permanent residence and secondary school study.

The exam assesses Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. Overall and individual skill results use a 0–9 band scale. Listening is the same for both versions. Academic Reading uses journal and textbook-style articles, while General Training uses materials such as leaflets, advertisements, manuals and local news. Academic Writing includes data analysis and argumentative essays; General Training focuses on practical letters and everyday topics.

IELTS Speaking is a one-to-one live conversation with a certified examiner lasting 11–14 minutes. Its three parts cover personal communication, topic discussion and extended argument, allowing assessment of fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and logical expression in a real communicative setting.

IELTS is accepted by universities throughout the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand and by institutions across Europe. Immigration authorities in the UK, Canada, Australia and other countries recognize IELTS General Training for visa and permanent residence applications, making it a mainstream choice for study in Commonwealth countries and overseas migration.
